The S1 Sealing Toilet, a next-generation dry flush toilet, takes this idea further with a more eco-conscious design. It uses a battery-powered internal mechanism to seal waste hygienically—without exposing it to view—while keeping liquids separate. Unlike traditional dry flush systems that rely solely on wrapping everything together, the S1 still embraces urine diversion to reduce smell, extend use time, and limit environmental impact.

The heat sealing mechanism is run off a rechargeable Li-ion battery it takes 12v.
The battery charge will be enough for 50+ flushes.

CompoCloset was founded in 2020 during covid after the CEO, Richard, had been impressed by the composting toilet in his campervan, yet was also dissatisfied by it’s design.
CompoCloset was born with the belief that more people would use a composting toilet if they were better. Since learning of the Global Sanitation Crisis we still share that belief, but the scale of our mission and vision has changed.
