This charger is intended for permanent installation, most commonly in an RV or similar vehicle. You have two options:

  1. Cigarette lighter plug — simplest option, ready to use out of the box
  2. Hardwired — cut off the cigarette lighter plug and wire the charger directly into your vehicle's 12–24V DC supply for a cleaner, more permanent setup

Important Safety Information

  • Keep the charger dry. The output connector is waterproof-compatible and safe to connect to your S1, but the charger housing itself is not waterproof and must be mounted in a dry, protected location — never exposed to rain, spray, or moisture.
  • The S1 toilet itself is not waterproof. If your S1 will be exposed to moisture (e.g., an outdoor or semi-exposed installation), pair it with our Shower Cap accessory to protect it.
  • Disconnect during extended storage. If you're storing your RV for an extended period, we recommend turning off or unplugging the charger to help protect the long-term health of your Li-ion battery.

How It Charges

This charger uses a two-stage constant-current / constant-voltage (CC/CV) charging profile designed to safely and efficiently charge your S1's Li-ion battery:

  • Constant Current (CC) stage: delivers a steady 1.5A charge while the battery voltage is below approximately 12.2V
  • Constant Voltage (CV) stage: once the battery reaches 12.2–12.6V, the charger holds voltage steady and gradually reduces current down to around 350mA as the battery approaches full charge

The LED indicator turns from red to green once this cycle completes, letting you know your battery is fully charged and ready to go.
