Super simple
Four steps.
No composting.
No layering.
Urine flows to the front into the urine bottle. Solids drop into a liner in the solids bin.
Push the button and the sealer does the rest, in about 3–5 minutes. Each #2 is sealed in its own bag.
The indicator tells you when the 1.7-gallon bottle is full. The bottle is opaque — discreet to carry and empty.
One liner roll is about 20–25 flushes. Empty the solids bin every 1-2 flushes, and drop in a fresh roll when it runs out.
Out of liners? Remove the sealer, line the solids bin with a bag and use it like a Cuddy Lite.

Two versions
Which S1 is
right for you?
Go with the S1 12V if the toilet has a permanent home in your build and you have a 12V house system to wire it into. There’s no battery, so there’s nothing to charge.
The S1 with its own battery is for moving it around, or for builds without a 12V system.

Took a bit to get to writing but I wanted to be sure. That said, this S1 is the best overlanding toilet setup I’ve ever used, my wife and I both love it. The convenience of it is remarkable, once it’s set up it just works perfectly, simple as that. It feels robust, very stable to sit on, definitely can see that it is very well made.

Overall functionality good…. Plastic lid hinge is too flimsy, washers and hinge fell out first weekend of use and had it be refitted. Instructions on bag “scrunching” before use were good…. But we needed more scrunching than anticipated before mechanism worked properly.
I suspect we will upgrade lid at some point.
Shipping date clarity could have been better… but it all worked out.
Looking forward to using this toilet. Customer service has been wonderful.
It is expensive but innovative. It separates the waste, and there is no odor at all. I wish the opening for Number 2 was larger to avoid accidents, but otherwise it seems well made. It has an app that functions to switch bag types and update the unit. Its size is perfect for our RV shower and can be removed. After looking at all the options out there, I am glad we settled on this one, as the other dry flush toilets do not separate urine (Laveo, Modiwell, Clesana) and/or have to throw out the entire bag if only partially used at the end of a trip (Laveo). The company seems interested in updating and making improvements on it for the future as well. It is an investment for sure, but coming from the black tank work, this is a much easier and cleaner option for boondocking and dry camping.

Really happy with this setup. I installed the S1 dry flush on my Cuddy Lite, which was easy. I love the dry flush function; it just works and makes dealing with the toilet less of a chore, especially on short trips. It's also great that the urine diverter is still totally usable with it. Definitely recommend it.

Questions about
the S1
Can the S1 be stored in a shower or wet room?
The S1 has waterproof connectors but the unit is water resistant, not waterproof. Keep it out of the direct line of water, remove it while the shower is in use, or cover it.
Is there a backup if the sealing mechanism breaks or I run out of bags?
Yes. The sealing mechanism can be removed and the solids bin lined with a regular bag — it then works exactly like a Cuddy Lite.
What bag liners are available?
Two types: compostable and high-barrier. Each S1 and Adapter Kit ships with one roll of each so you can try both before ordering refills.
Can I leave the S1 plugged in all the time?
Don’t connect the S1 to power below 0 °C (32 °F). In cold weather, unplug it at the DC connector or the wall.
How many flushes do I get per refill?
Approximately 25 uses per roll.
Why does the S1 have an app?
The S1 connects to its app by Bluetooth so you can tell it which bag material you’re using and get software updates. Day to day, you just press the button.
