Why People ChooseΒ
S1 Sealing Toilet Over Other Dry Flush Toilets
Common Questions
Straight answers only.
-
Traditional dry-flush toilets bag every single use β liquid and solid together. You burn through expensive proprietary refills fast, and you're effectively paying to seal urine in plastic. The S1 diverts liquid into a separate 1.7-gallon bottle and only seals solids. That's up to 80% less bag use, dramatically lower running costs, and far less plastic waste. It's the first dry-flush toilet with urine diversion built in.
-
The S1 uses two separate batteries: one for the sealing mechanism and one for the urine level indicator.
1. Sealing mechanism battery
The sealing mechanism runs on the included rechargeable Li-ion battery.
- Charging: Connect the supplied 12V power supply unit (Input 100β240VAC, Output 12VDC/2A) to the power input socket at the back of the toilet.
- Powering on: Use the power switch on top of the battery box.
Safety warnings
- Fully charge the battery before first use.
- Only use the CompoCloset-approved charger.
- Do not connect the power input directly to a source exceeding 12.6V, such as a vehicle alternator or a LiFePO4 battery. For those, use the CompoCloset Li-ion 10β24V DC charger. [See Here]
2. Urine level indicator battery
The indicator light needs its own 9V battery, which is not included.
- Installation: Remove the two screws on the battery box and fit a fresh 9V battery.
-
The heat-sealing mechanism runs on an internal rechargeable 12V Li-ion battery β good for 50+ seals per charge. Designed to trickle charge off of 12Vs. Comes with plug. The LED urine indicator runs separately off a 9V battery (9V battery not included).
-
Each liner roll gives ~25 uses. For 2 people with regular use, that's roughly every 1β2 weeks. Swap takes under a minute β no tools, no mess. Refills are available on CompoCloset.com and Amazon Prime.
-
The bottle holds up to 20 liquid uses β roughly every few days for 2 people. The LED indicator tells you when. Empty is super easy with a separate urine bottle.
-
Good news β you don't need to buy the full S1. The S1 Dry Flush Adapter Kit converts your existing Cuddy or Cuddy Lite into a sealing toilet. Plug-and-play, no permanent modifications required.
-
The S1 has a built-in backup mode β it converts to a standard urine-diverting toilet if you run out of bag liners. You're never left without a working toilet.
